There is quite a difference between building a custom home and just building. You may find more affordable builders that offer “partial-custom” or “semi-custom” which may better serve certain budgets. When you select an existing design plan you may be compromising a vision that could require modifying future plans and in the end, you could be paying for features you may not want. PROPER BUDGETING + COST EXPECTATIONS

Choosing the builder that is right for you is not an easy decision and it’s important to know that not every builder structures cost the same way.
A variety of factors go into the grand total for your custom home including labor, materials and design. We know the importance of proper budgeting and provide exact cost expectations so if you choose to build with us, you will never question the total upon completion.

Pro Tips
When assessing a builders estimate, you will want to make sure you’re comparing apples to apples. A lower estimate does not always make a better option. Less experienced sub contractors, lower grade materials, and baseline finishes are just a few reasons an initial low quote may look enticing.

It’s always a good idea to ask your potential builder a lot of questions:

What is included in their total estimate?
Does the total price include everything you want based on the square footage?
Does the quote reflect custom finishes?

It’s very easy to get wrapped up in the excitement of the process but without asking questions, more times than not, you will receive a baseline quote and a price that may not include the costs you can expect to pay once you add in custom finishes, additional upgrades and necessities.

1. Discovery

Initial consultation to discuss property and project.

We will schedule an introductory meeting where you will meet with our Sales Manager, Geoff Miller to discuss your project. We will discuss options for building on your own land or our team can assist you in finding land. During this time, we will work with you to understand your dream and how we can make it a reality. This is a fun, collaborative process to bring your vision to life.

2. Design

Conceptual design and final planning.

Whether you arrive with a sketch on a napkin or a well thought-out plan, we will introduce you to all aspects of building and design. Our talented team of designers will draw a preliminary plan based specifically on your vision and your particular needs. Once we have a clear direction on design, we will complete a full set of blueprints for your project.

3. Proposal

Present home pricing and detailed proposal.

Once we have a complete set of plans we can prepare an exact budget for your project. This will be a thorough proposal to include all of your wish list features and our custom finishes. We know the importance of proper budgeting and laid out cost expectations so you can trust our team to always think ahead when it comes to various needs and possibilities. Our main goal is to make the building process seamless and enjoyable for our clients. By properly laying out cost expectations in the beginning, we remove the element of worry for continued overages within your budget.

4. Construction

Home construction and project management.

Your home is now ready to be built. Our Project Manager, Scott Martin and our entire team work hard to ensure that everything during this process runs smoothly. We understand how essential it is that our clients be kept aware of the progress of their homes. Throughout the construction phase we will maintain consistent communication with you through numerous project updates and on-site progress meetings.
